Hacked site cleanup
Website hacked? Let’s get it back.
Removes malicious content and secures the site. We clean it out, find how they got in, close that door, and make it much harder for it to happen again.
Signs your site has been hacked
- Visitors (or Google) get sent to spam, gambling or pharmacy sites.
- Search results show pages you never made, often in other languages.
- Browsers show a red “deceptive site” or “dangerous site” warning.
- Your host suspended the account or warned you about malware.
- There are admin users or files you don’t recognize.
If you’re seeing any of these, act quickly — every day it stays infected can cost you visitors and search rankings.
What we do
- Secure a copy of the site as it is, so nothing is lost and we can trace what happened.
- Remove the infection — malicious code, injected spam pages, rogue files and unknown admin accounts.
- Find the way in — an outdated plugin, a weak password, a vulnerable theme — and close it.
- Update and reset — platform and plugins updated, passwords and access keys changed with you.
- Clear the warnings — request reviews so search engine and browser warnings can be lifted.
- Lock it down — tighter access, security settings and working backups, so a future problem is a quick restore instead of a crisis.
After the cleanup
You get a plain-English summary of what happened, what we fixed, and what we’d recommend next. Most re-infections happen because a site goes un-updated again, which is exactly what a care plan prevents.
Questions
Fair questions.
Why is the price “$600+” instead of a range?
Because every hack is different. A single infected plugin is quick; a site that has been compromised for months, with hidden backdoors throughout, takes much longer. We look first and give you a fixed price before cleaning starts.
Will the hack come back?
The main reason sites get re-infected is that the original hole was never closed. Finding and fixing the entry point is part of every cleanup, and we lock the site down afterwards. Keeping it updated — which a care plan does — is the best long-term protection.
Should I just delete the site and start over?
Not before talking to us. Your content and search history have value, and a rebuild on the same compromised hosting can get reinfected. Sometimes a fresh build is the right call — we’ll tell you honestly.
Google is showing a warning on my site. Can you remove it?
Once the site is clean, we request a review through Google Search Console so the warning is lifted. Google makes the final call, but a properly cleaned site is usually cleared.
